Les Vampyrettes

Experimental Electronic Duo

Les Vampyrettes was a collaborative project between Holger Czukay, a co-founder of the influential German experimental rock band Can, and Conny Plank, a renowned music producer and sound engineer. The duo came together to create music that was a blend of ambient, experimental, and electronic sounds. Their work as Les Vampyrettes is noted for its atmospheric qualities and innovative use of studio technology. Although not prolific in terms of output, the collaboration resulted in a self-titled EP released in 1980 which has since gained cult status among fans of avant-garde and electronic music. Both Czukay and Plank were significant figures in the development of krautrock and helped shape the sound of numerous artists within the genre.
