British Modern Soul Collective

Jungle is a modern soul musical collective based in London, England. The group was founded by Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, who are often referred to as J and T. They burst onto the music scene in 2013 with their debut single "Platoon" which gained attention for its funky sound and the accompanying video featuring a six-year-old breakdancer. Jungle's self-titled debut album was released in 2014 to critical acclaim, earning a Mercury Prize nomination for Album of the Year. Their music is characterized by a modern take on funk and soul, with heavy use of electronics, deep bass lines, and catchy hooks.
