Holding Absence is a Welsh post-hardcore band formed in 2015 in Cardiff, Wales. The band consists of members Lucas Woodland (vocals), Scott Carey (guitar), Ben Elliot (bass), and Ashley Green (drums). They quickly gained attention within the UK rock scene for their emotive and passionate music, characterized by powerful vocals and atmospheric instrumentals. Holding Absence signed with SharpTone Records and released their self-titled debut album "Holding Absence" in 2019, which was well-received for its emotional depth and musical craftsmanship. They followed up with their sophomore album "The Greatest Mistake of My Life" in 2021, further solidifying their place in the post-hardcore genre with a matured sound and introspective lyrics.
