Italian Electronic Music Project

Hipnosis, also spelled Hypnosis, was an Italian Italo disco group that achieved popularity during the 1980s. The project was primarily known for their cover versions of well-known songs as well as original compositions within the electronic and dance music genres. One of their most famous tracks is "Pulstar," which is a cover of a Vangelis composition. The group's sound was characterized by synthesizer-heavy melodies and rhythms, typical of the Italo disco movement of that time. Hipnosis' influence was part of the broader wave of European electronic music that found an audience both on the continent and abroad. Despite not being as widely recognized today as some of their contemporaries, Hipnosis contributed to the fabric of 80s electronic music with their distinctive style and danceable tracks.
