Heiko Maile is a German musician and composer best known as a member of the synth-pop band Camouflage, which gained popularity in the 1980s. The band's breakthrough came with their 1986 hit "The Great Commandment," which charted internationally. Maile, along with bandmates Marcus Meyn and Oliver Kreyssig, formed Camouflage in 1983 in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany. Their sound was heavily influenced by British new wave bands like Depeche Mode.
