Wu-Tang Clan Member and Influential Hip-Hop Lyricist

GZA, also known as The Genius, is a founding member of the seminal hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. Born Gary Grice on August 22, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York, he is known for his sharp lyrical prowess and philosophical content. Before Wu-Tang's massive success, GZA released a solo album under the name The Genius titled "Words from the Genius" in 1991. However, it was after joining forces with his cousins RZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard to form the Wu-Tang Clan that GZA's career truly took off. The group's debut album "Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)" released in 1993, is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.
