Felt

Felt was an English alternative rock band founded in Water Orton, Warwickshire, in 1979 by the enigmatic Lawrence Hayward (known simply as Lawrence), who was the band's constant member. The group was active until 1989 and during that time, they released ten albums and ten singles. Their music style is often characterized by jangly guitar work, introspective lyrics, and a distinctive indie pop sound that was influential in the development of the genre. Felt's lineup changed frequently throughout their career, with Lawrence being the creative driving force behind their artistic output. The band never achieved widespread commercial success but has since gained a cult following and critical acclaim for their work. After disbanding Felt, Lawrence went on to form other bands such as Denim and Go-Kart Mozart, continuing his career in music.
