Erol Alkan

British electronic music producer and DJ

Erol Alkan is a London-based DJ, producer, and remixer who has been a significant figure in the electronic and indie music scenes since the late 1990s. Known for his eclectic and energetic DJ sets, Alkan has made a name for himself not only as a performer but also as a tastemaker and influencer within the industry. He began his career hosting a club night called Trash, which ran from 1997 until 2007 and was influential in the electroclash movement. As a producer and remixer, Alkan has worked with a variety of artists across different genres, adding his distinctive touch to tracks by artists such as Tame Impala, Hot Chip, and Daft Punk. His compilation album "Reworks Volume 1" showcases a selection of his remix work over the years, highlighting his ability to re-imagine songs with a unique blend of psychedelic and electronic sounds. In addition to his remixes, Alkan has released original music under his own name and as part of the duo Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve. He continues to be an active presence in the music scene through DJing, producing, and running his record label Phantasy Sound.
