Brodsky Quartet

Brodsky Quartet

British String Quartet

The Brodsky Quartet is a British string quartet that was formed in 1972. Named after the great Russian violinist Adolph Brodsky, the quartet has achieved worldwide acclaim for its innovative approach to programming and its collaborative work with artists from various musical genres. The ensemble originally consisted of Michael Thomas (first violin), Ian Belton (second violin), Paul Cassidy (viola), and Jacqueline Thomas (cello). Over the years, there have been changes in the lineup, with Daniel Rowland later taking over as first violinist.
