Anton Bruckner

Anton Bruckner

Austrian Romantic composer and organist

Anton Bruckner was an Austrian composer known for his symphonies, masses, and motets. Born on September 4, 1824, in Ansfelden, Austria, Bruckner's deep Catholic faith and rural upbringing significantly influenced his musical style. He spent much of his early career as a teacher and organist, later moving to Vienna where he studied under Otto Kitzler and eventually became closely associated with the Vienna Conservatory and the Vienna Court Opera.
