Electronic Music Duo

Blaqk Audio is an electronic music duo consisting of Davey Havok and Jade Puget, both members of the rock band AFI (A Fire Inside). Formed in 2001, Blaqk Audio serves as a creative outlet for the pair to explore their interest in the electronic and synthpop genres, which is distinct from the punk and alternative rock sound of AFI. The duo released their debut album "CexCells" in 2007, which showcased a dark electronic style. They have since continued to produce music under this moniker, with subsequent albums including "Bright Black Heaven" in 2012 and "Only Things We Love" in 2019. Blaqk Audio's sound is characterized by its use of synthesizers, programmed beats, and Havok's distinctive vocals. The project has allowed Havok and Puget to experiment with different textures and styles, garnering a fan base within the electronic music community while also appealing to fans of their work with AFI.
