Avicii, born Tim Bergling on September 8, 1989, in Stockholm, Sweden, was a highly influential figure in the electronic dance music (EDM) genre. He began producing music at a young age and achieved widespread international fame with his 2011 single "Levels," which catapulted him into the mainstream. Avicii's debut studio album, "True," released in 2013, featured a blend of electronic music with elements of multiple genres and included hits like "Wake Me Up" and "Hey Brother." His follow-up album, "Stories," was released in 2015 and continued to showcase his ability to meld EDM with other styles. Avicii's third album, "Tim," was released posthumously in 2019 after his tragic passing on April 20, 2018. Throughout his career, Avicii was known for his melodic sense and innovation within the EDM scene. He won numerous awards and was nominated for two Grammy Awards. His influence extended beyond his own music as he collaborated with various artists across different genres.
