Kakao M

Kakao M Corporation is a South Korean entertainment company, established in 1978. It was founded as Seoul Records in 1978 and kept that name until 2000, when the company changed to YBM Seoul Records. In 2008, the company again changed their name to Loen Entertainment. In January 2016, Kakao Corporation acquired a 76.4% stake in the company. In March 2018, the company changed its name to Kakao M Corporation and in December 2018, the rebranding to that name was approved by the company's board of directors. Kakao M currently keeps the same catalog numbering for its releases as Loen Entertainment did: The L10000 series and L20000 series. Since 2nd of march 2021, Kakao M has changed its name to kakao Entertainment, after its fusion with KakaoPage.
