Yellowcard was an American rock band known for their incorporation of the violin into a pop punk sound. Formed in 1997 in Jacksonville, Florida, the band gained mainstream success with their 2003 album "Ocean Avenue," which included the hit single of the same name. The group's lineup featured Ryan Key as lead vocalist and guitarist, Sean Mackin as the violinist and backing vocalist, Longineu W. Parsons III on drums, and various other members throughout their career. Yellowcard released ten studio albums before announcing their disbandment in 2016. Their final self-titled album, "Yellowcard," was released that same year as a parting gift to fans. The band was known for their energetic live performances and deeply personal lyrics, often reflecting on themes of love, loss, and adolescence. They left a significant mark on the early 2000s pop punk scene before their eventual split.
