California Surf Rock Band

Wavves is an American rock band formed in 2008 by singer-songwriter Nathan Williams in San Diego, California. The band is known for its distinctive blend of lo-fi, surf rock, noise pop, and punk influences. Wavves gained recognition with the release of their self-titled debut album in 2008 and further increased their profile with the follow-up album "Wavvves" in 2009. However, it was the band's third studio album, "King Of The Beach," released in 2010, that marked a significant turning point in their career. The album received critical acclaim and showcased a more polished sound compared to the raw fidelity of their earlier work.
