UB40

UB40

British reggae and pop band

UB40 is a British reggae and pop band formed in Birmingham, England, in 1978. The band's name was derived from a form issued to people claiming unemployment benefit from the UK government's Department of Employment at the time. UB40 became one of the most successful reggae acts of all time, with their distinctive smooth yet rootsy musical style. They achieved considerable international success in the 1980s and 1990s with hits such as "Red Red Wine," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and "Kingston Town."
