The Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, based in Turku, Finland, is one of the oldest orchestras in Finland and indeed in the whole of Europe. Founded in 1790, it has a long and distinguished history of musical performance and contribution to the cultural life of the region. The orchestra operates out of the Turku Concert Hall and has been involved in various recordings throughout its history.
