The London Chamber Orchestra

The London Chamber Orchestra

British Classical Ensemble

The London Chamber Orchestra (LCO) is the UK's oldest professional chamber orchestra, having been founded in 1921 by Anthony Bernard. Throughout its history, the LCO has garnered a reputation for the excellence of its performances and its diverse repertoire, ranging from Baroque to contemporary music. The orchestra has worked with a wide array of distinguished conductors and soloists. It has also been committed to education and outreach programs, aiming to bring classical music to a wider audience. The LCO has made numerous recordings over the years, which include works by a variety of composers, reflecting their broad artistic vision. Under the leadership of Principal Conductor and Music Director Christopher Warren-Green, the orchestra has continued to maintain a prominent presence both in the UK and internationally, performing at major venues and festivals.
