The Dickies are an American punk rock band formed in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles in 1977. Known for their humorous and satirical take on punk music, they are considered one of the first punk bands to emerge from Los Angeles and one of the longest-running punk bands in the world. The band's lineup has changed frequently over the years, with lead vocalist Leonard Graves Phillips and guitarist Stan Lee being the mainstays. They gained initial fame with their fast-paced cover of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" and found success with singles like "Banana Splits (Tra La La Song)" which showcased their penchant for catchy, high-energy tunes and irreverent humor.
