1960s American Psychedelic Pop Band

The Aerovons were an American rock band formed in St. Louis, Missouri, in the mid-1960s. The group was led by Tom Hartman and is best known for their association with the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, where they recorded their only album, "Resurrection," which was released in 2003 but originally recorded in 1969. Despite their potential and the quality of their music, The Aerovons were not commercially successful during their active years, and they disbanded shortly after the recording sessions at Abbey Road. Their music has since gained a cult following, particularly among fans of 1960s pop and rock music. The album "Resurrection" features a sound that is reminiscent of contemporary British bands of the era, such as The Beatles, whom they admired.
