British punk duo

Slaves are a British punk duo formed in 2012, consisting of Laurie Vincent (guitar, bass, vocals) and Isaac Holman (drums, vocals). Known for their energetic performances and raw sound, they quickly gained a reputation in the UK's punk and indie rock scenes. Their debut album "Are You Satisfied?" was released in 2015 and received critical acclaim, including a nomination for the Mercury Prize. This was followed by their sophomore effort "Take Control" in 2016. In 2018, they released their third studio album "Acts of Fear and Love," which showcased a slight evolution in their sound while maintaining the intensity for which they are known. The band's music is characterized by its minimalistic approach, often featuring just drums and guitar accompanied by shouted vocals, addressing themes of societal discontent and personal reflection. Slaves have established themselves as a prominent act within the modern UK punk scene through relentless touring and a consistent output of visceral music.
