Silverhead

Silverhead

1970s British Glam Rock Band

Silverhead was a British glam rock band formed in 1971. The group was fronted by lead singer Michael Des Barres, who would later become known for his role as the villain Murdoc in the television series "MacGyver." Silverhead released their self-titled debut album "Silverhead" in 1972, which included a mix of hard rock and glam influences. They followed up with their second studio album "16 And Savaged" in 1973, which continued in a similar musical vein. Despite a dedicated cult following and touring with bands like Deep Purple and Nazareth, Silverhead did not achieve significant commercial success and disbanded in 1974 after releasing a live album titled "Live At The Rainbow London." Their music has since been recognized for its influence on the glam rock movement and has garnered appreciation from fans of the genre.
