Sesto Bruscantini

Italian Operatic Baritone

Sesto Bruscantini was an Italian baritone, renowned for his versatility and the breadth of his repertoire, which spanned from bel canto to verismo. Born on December 10, 1919, in Civitanova Marche, Italy, he studied law before turning to music. Bruscantini's vocal training took place at the Conservatory of Pesaro and later in Rome. He made his operatic debut in 1946 as Figaro in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia," a role that would become one of his signatures.
