Sebastian Schottke

Sound engineer from Germany, b. 1979 in Crivitz/Mecklenburg, near the Baltic Sea. Sebastian did stage and studio work at Münchener Biennale, Beethovenfest Bonn, Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival, Wien Modern, RUHRtriennale, Skálar SoundArt Festival and other events. He was also a balance engineer on numerous recordings from various composers, both in stereo and surround sound. In November 2012, Schottke did a sound design for a debut performance of Bakin Zub's new piece Heterotopolis at ZKM. Schottke studied sound engineering and music production at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and got his Master of Arts degree in 2006. He received a scholarship as sound director in 2007/08 at the International Ensemble Modern Academy.
