School Of Language

Experimental Indie Rock Project School of Language

School of Language is a solo project of David Brewis, a musician known for being a member of the indie rock band Field Music, which he co-leads with his brother Peter Brewis. School of Language was formed during a period when Field Music was on hiatus, allowing David to explore his own musical ideas and directions. The project's debut album, "Sea from Shore," was released in 2008 and showcased a blend of indie rock and experimental pop, with intricate arrangements and thoughtful lyrics. Following the success of his initial release, David Brewis continued to work on School of Language alongside his commitments to Field Music. He released subsequent albums under the School of Language moniker, including "Old Fears" in 2014 and "45" in 2019. These works further established his reputation as an innovative artist capable of crafting compelling music both within a band setting and as a solo act.
