Sammy Hagar

Rock Vocalist and Former Van Halen Frontman

Sammy Hagar, also known as "The Red Rocker," is an American rock vocalist, guitarist, songwriter, and musician. He first came to prominence in the 1970s with the hard rock band Montrose before embarking on a successful solo career. Hagar's solo work includes a series of albums that showcased his powerful voice and guitar skills, with hits like "I Can't Drive 55" from his 1984 album "VOA." In 1985, he joined the iconic rock band Van Halen as their lead vocalist after the departure of original frontman David Lee Roth. Hagar's tenure with Van Halen was marked by multi-platinum albums and numerous hit songs, contributing to the band's continued success through the late '80s and early '90s.
