Roman Válek is a Czech conductor, known for his work with various orchestras and ensembles in the Czech Republic and abroad. He is the founder and chief conductor of the Czech Ensemble Baroque, a group dedicated to the authentic interpretation of mainly Baroque music. Válek has a particular interest in rediscovering and performing works by lesser-known composers, as well as presenting new perspectives on the music of established masters.
