Robin O'Neill

British bassoonist, conductor, orchestrator, arranger, educator, and music director. He was Principal Bassoonist with the National Youth Orchestra Of Great Britain before studying at the The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama (1978-1980). Wilst at the GSMD, he was Principal Bassoonist with the European Union Youth Orchestra. Former Principal of Endymion Ensemble. Founder member of and Principal with The Chamber Orchestra Of Europe. He then joined the English Chamber Orchestra before being invited to join the Philharmonia Orchestra as Principal Bassoonist. Member of London Winds and The Gaudier Ensemble. Principal Conductor and a member of the artistic committee of the Orchestra Città Aperta, L'Aquila, Italy. He has been Professor of Bassoon at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Academy of Music. He has conducted many orchestras worldwide. Music director of the music theatre ensemble The Motion Group.
