Robert Levin

Robert Levin

Robert Levin is a classical pianist, musicologist, and composer known for his performances and recordings of Mozart as well as his expertise in historically informed performance practice. Born on October 13, 1947, in New York City, Levin has had a distinguished career both as a soloist and a scholar. He studied piano with Nadia Reisenberg at the Juilliard School and later with Stefan Askenase in Europe. Levin is particularly noted for his completion of Mozart's unfinished works, including the Requiem in D minor (K. 626), which he revised and completed drawing on historical evidence to create a version that aims to reflect Mozart's intentions.
