Richard Beirach, known professionally as Richie Beirach, is an American jazz pianist and composer born on May 23, 1947. He has made significant contributions to the jazz genre since the 1970s. After studying at Berklee College of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, Beirach's career gained momentum through his work with Stan Getz, Chet Baker, and Johnny Griffin. He is well-known for his long-standing collaboration with saxophonist Dave Liebman in the group Lookout Farm and later in the duo Quest. Throughout his career, Beirach has been recognized for his lyrical and harmonically rich approach to jazz piano. His discography includes a mix of solo albums, collaborations, and contributions as a sideman.
