Dutch Radio Chamber Philharmonic Ensemble

The Radio Kamer Filharmonie (Radio Chamber Philharmonic) was a Dutch radio orchestra that played an important role in the Netherlands' classical music scene. It was founded in 2005 as a result of a merger between the Radio Kamerorkest and the Radio Symfonie Orkest. The ensemble was known for its versatile performances, ranging from Baroque to contemporary music, and it collaborated with various renowned soloists and conductors. The orchestra was part of the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep (Broadcasting Music Centre), which also included other Dutch radio ensembles. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts by the Dutch public broadcaster, the Radio Kamer Filharmonie was disbanded in 2013. During its existence, the orchestra made several recordings and was appreciated for its high-quality performances both in concert halls and on radio broadcasts.
