Phased

Phased

Phased was a stoner- and doom-band founded in 1997 by Chris Sigdell. Initially named Phased 4°F, the "4°F" was dropped when the band was reduced from a quintet to a trio. Hailed as the "Hawkwind of doom", Phased played some kind of spaced-out stoner-rock that, over the years, turned to doom. After releasing "Music For Gentlemen" on a small Swiss label, Phased were signed by Elektrohasch for two albums. Due to the increasingly heavier sound, the band relocated to Czar Of Bullets, a local metal label, for the release of the last album "Aeon". Between the classic line-up of Chris Sigdell, Marko Lehtinen and Michael Greilinger - who, incidentally, recorded both the first AND the last album - there were a number of other bassists throughout the years. The longest standing, bassist Chris Walt, is featured on both Elektrohasch releases. Harald Binder, bass-player for the last three years, never got to record with the band - neither did Florian Schönmann who joined on second guitar in 2015. Flo and Chris now play in Leaden Fumes... Marko is in Ashtar.
