Paul Jacobs

Paul Jacobs

Canadian Psychedelic Rock Musician

Paul Jacobs is an American organist known for his expertise in the classical organ repertoire. He has made a significant impact on the world of classical music, particularly through his performances and recordings of organ works. Jacobs became the first and only Grammy Award-winning organist when he received the award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (without orchestra) for his recording of Olivier Messiaen's "Livre du Saint-Sacrement." His career is marked by a dedication to both performing and teaching; he serves as the chair of the organ department at the Juilliard School in New York City, one of the most prestigious music conservatories in the world.
