Dutch Gothic Metal Band

Orphanage was a Dutch metal band known for incorporating elements of gothic metal, death metal, and doom metal into their music. Formed in 1994, the band was one of the early pioneers in the gothic metal genre. They released their debut album, "Oblivion," in 1995, which set the stage for their unique blend of growling vocals and atmospheric melodies. Orphanage gained a modest following in the European metal scene with their subsequent albums, including "By Time Alone" (1996), "Driven" (2004), and an EP titled "At The Mountains Of Madness" (1997). Despite never achieving mainstream success, Orphanage was respected within the metal community for their innovative sound and contributions to the genre. The band eventually disbanded in 2005, leaving behind a legacy that influenced later gothic and symphonic metal acts.
