Ondrej Lenárd is a Slovak conductor known for his work in both the symphonic and operatic realms. Born on April 3, 1942, in Bratislava, Slovakia, he has had a prolific career leading various orchestras around the world. Lenárd served as the chief conductor of the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra and later took on the role of music director at the Czecho-Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra (now the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra). His international career includes engagements with major orchestras in Japan and Europe, and he has been particularly noted for his interpretations of the works of Tchaikovsky and Strauss.
