Omen

Omen is an American heavy metal band that was formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1983. The band is known for being part of the early wave of American power metal. Omen was founded by lead guitarist Kenny Powell, previously with the rock band Savage Grace, and quickly became known for their epic and fantasy-themed lyrics combined with heavy, powerful riffs. Their debut album, "Battle Cry," was released in 1984 and is often regarded as a classic in the power metal genre. Following the success of their first album, Omen released "Warning of Danger" in 1985 and "The Curse" in 1986, which further solidified their reputation within the metal community. The band's lineup has undergone numerous changes throughout its career, with Powell being the only constant member. Despite never achieving mainstream success, Omen has maintained a loyal fan base and continues to perform and record music. Their influence can be seen in many later power metal bands that emerged during the 1980s and beyond.
