Nancy Wilson was an American singer whose career spanned over five decades, earning her a reputation as a versatile vocalist who could effortlessly traverse jazz, blues, R&B, and pop genres. Born on February 20, 1937, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Wilson began singing at an early age and joined her first band while still in high school. Her breakthrough came after she moved to New York City in the late 1950s and signed with Capitol Records.
