Mr. Mister

1980s American Pop Rock Band

Mr. Mister was an American pop rock band that achieved considerable success during the mid-1980s. Formed in 1982, the band's classic lineup consisted of lead vocalist and bassist Richard Page, guitarist Steve Farris, keyboardist and vocalist Steve George, and drummer Pat Mastelotto. They are best known for their hit singles "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie," both of which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their second album, "Welcome to the Real World," released in 1985, was particularly successful and solidified their place in the music scene of that era. The band's sound was characterized by a blend of melodic rock with a polished production style typical of the 1980s. Despite their initial success, Mr. Mister's popularity waned in the late 1980s, and they disbanded in 1990 after the release of their third album "Go On...," which did not achieve the same level of commercial success as its predecessor.
