Modest Mouse is an American indie rock band formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington. The band was founded by lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy, and drummer Jeremiah Green. Modest Mouse is known for their unique sound, which blends elements of punk rock, alternative rock, and indie rock. They gained mainstream attention with their 2004 album "Good News for People Who Love Bad News," which included the hit single "Float On." This success was followed by the critically acclaimed album "We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank" in 2007, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
