Metz is a Canadian noise rock band from Toronto, Ontario, formed in 2008. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Alex Edkins, bassist Chris Slorach, and drummer Hayden Menzies. Known for their intense, energetically visceral sound and explosive live performances, Metz has carved out a niche for themselves within the punk and indie rock scenes. They released their self-titled debut album "METZ" in 2012 to critical acclaim, establishing their raw and uncompromising sonic identity. This was followed by their sophomore effort "II" in 2015, which continued to build on their reputation for crafting blistering tracks with tightly wound noise and relentless aggression.
