Mayday, also known as 五月天 (Wǔ Yuè Tiān) in Mandarin, is a Taiwanese rock band that was formed in the late 1990s. The band consists of Ashin (vocalist), Monster and Stone (guitarists), Masa (bassist), and Guan You (drummer). They are one of the most successful and influential rock bands in Asia, known for their energetic live performances and a string of hit songs. Mayday has won numerous awards throughout their career, including Golden Melody Awards, which is one of the most prestigious music awards in the Chinese-speaking world. They are often referred to as "The Chinese Beatles" due to their massive popularity and impact on Asian pop culture.
