1980s New York Crossover Thrash Band

Ludichrist was a crossover thrash band that emerged from the New York hardcore scene in the mid-1980s. They were known for their unique blend of hardcore punk and thrash metal, which was a relatively new fusion at the time. The band gained a reputation for their energetic live performances and irreverent sense of humor, often incorporating satirical lyrics and song titles into their music. Ludichrist released two full-length albums during their active years: "Immaculate Deception" in 1986 and "Powertrip" in 1988. Despite never achieving mainstream success, they developed a cult following and are remembered for their contributions to the crossover thrash genre. After disbanding, some members went on to form the band Scatterbrain, continuing their musical careers with a similar style of humor-infused heavy music.
