Luboš Fišer was a renowned Czech composer, born on September 30, 1935, in Prague, and he passed away on June 22, 1999. He was a significant figure in the world of classical music and film scoring in the Czech Republic during the 20th century. Fišer's work encompassed a variety of genres, including chamber music, symphonic works, and vocal compositions. He is perhaps best known for his film scores, which include the soundtrack for the surrealist horror film "Valerie and Her Week of Wonders" ("Valerie A Týden Divů"), directed by Jaromil Jireš. This particular score has gained cult status over the years and is celebrated for its hauntingly beautiful and ethereal qualities.
