Lost Breed

Lost Breed

Doom/Heavy Rock band from Van Nuys, CA. Formed in late 1986 after BLIND LEGION disbanded some members relocated to California from New York and started jamming with several vocalists. They stuck with Wino (of Obsessed/St. Vitus/Spirit Caravan/etc.) in 88 for a demo now called "Wino Daze". Wino left shortly and was replaced for Gary Tocco (Blind Legion singer) and they recorded what would be the supposed first album (now issued on CD by Blood and Iron Records under the name of "World of Power" with 2 added songs with the singer after Gary) in 1989. The album never happened since they didn't found a label, so the band released themselves a debut 7"choosing 2 songs off that recording with Gary on vocals. Another singer change and finally in 1991 they get a contract with German cult label Hellhound Records (Vitus, Obsessed, Count Raven, etc.) and have included an exclusive song of the What the Hell compilation. In 93 comes out the first album "The Evil in You and Me" with mostly re-recorded old songs with different lyrics. 1995 Hellhound strikes back with their second album "Save Yourself' and after that the band slowly fades away…another singer change, name change to Vengeance Brothers and inbetween the name changes they record several studio tracks through the late 90s until 2000, which were later reissued by Blood & Iron and Metal Soldiers labels (co-release) under the title "Bow Down". In the last 10 years the Wino Daze demo saw releases on CD (self released by band member Eric "Ike" Baestlein) and on deluxe vinyl edition by At War with false Noise and the studio albums also were reissued by Shadow Kingdom. The Legacy of Lost Breed lives on! Bio by F.J. Dias (Blood & Iron)
