Experimental Rock Supergroup

LNZNDRF is a band formed by The National's bassist Scott Devendorf, his brother and Beirut member Ben Lanz, and The National's drummer Bryan Devendorf. The group's self-titled debut album, "LNZNDRF," was released in 2016. Their music is known for its experimental approach, often featuring expansive and atmospheric soundscapes that blend elements of krautrock, ambient music, and art rock. The band's formation was a result of the members' desire to explore new musical territories outside the context of their primary projects. They recorded their debut album over the course of two and a half days in a church in Cincinnati, Ohio, which contributed to the spacious sound characteristic of the record. LNZNDRF has been recognized for their improvisational style and for creating music that diverges from the more structured compositions of The National and Beirut.
