Linda McCartney

Linda McCartney was an American musician, photographer, and animal rights activist, best known for being the wife of Paul McCartney, a former member of The Beatles. Born Linda Eastman on September 24, 1941, she was a professional photographer before meeting Paul. After their marriage in 1969, Linda joined her husband's band Wings as a keyboard player and backing vocalist. She contributed to several albums with Wings throughout the 1970s, including "Band on the Run" and "Venus and Mars." Linda also released a solo album titled "Wide Prairie" posthumously in 1998, which featured a collection of tracks recorded over the span of her career. The album includes songs that she had written and recorded with Wings as well as solo material. Linda McCartney passed away from breast cancer on April 17, 1998. Her legacy extends beyond music into the realms of photography and animal rights advocacy.
