Larry Davis was an American blues singer, guitarist, and songwriter, best known for co-writing the blues standard "Texas Flood," which was later popularized by Stevie Ray Vaughan. Born on December 4, 1936, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Davis began his music career in the 1950s. His soulful voice and guitar skills earned him recognition in the blues scene. He recorded for various labels including Duke Records and Rooster Blues.
