Ken Boothe is a prominent Jamaican recording artist, known for his distinctive vocal style and contributions to the rocksteady and reggae music genres. Born on March 22, 1948, in Kingston, Jamaica, Boothe rose to prominence in the 1960s. He started his musical career by recording a duo with his friend Stranger Cole for producer Clement "Coxsone" Dodd's Studio One label, with hits like "Artibella". His solo career began to take off in the late 1960s when he recorded for producers like Leslie Kong. He achieved international fame with his cover of Bread's "Everything I Own," which reached number one on the UK Singles Chart in 1974. This track was featured on the album of the same name.
