Jane Birkin is a British actress, singer, and songwriter who has had a significant impact on the French music scene. Birkin's musical career took off after she met the influential French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg during the filming of the movie "Slogan" in 1969. Together, they recorded the album "Jane Birkin/Serge Gainsbourg" (also known as "Je t'aime... moi non plus"), which was released in 1969 and included the controversial and highly popular title track that scandalized some but captivated many with its explicit lyrics and sensuality.
