British Conductor and Harpsichordist

Ivor Bolton is a distinguished British conductor, known for his expertise in the baroque and classical music repertoire. Born on December 17, 1958, in Blackrod, Lancashire, England, he has built a reputation for his work with period instrument ensembles as well as modern orchestras. Bolton studied at Clare College, Cambridge, and later at the Royal College of Music in London. Throughout his career, he has held several prestigious positions including Music Director at the Glyndebourne Touring Opera and Principal Conductor of the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg.
